SEPANG: The Royal Malaysian Customs foil attempt to hide Iranian woman syabu 6:05 kilograms valued at RM1.5 million included in the powder bottles at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), here, Wednesday.

 

KLIA Customs director Datuk M. Govinden said the customs officer on duty to check two bags brought 57-year-old woman and then scanned, found that it shows the image of doubt.
"After examining her, found therein contain syabu which hid them in the powder bottles, food containers and drink powder packets," he told reporters here Tuesday.

According Govenden, the woman had been remanded for seven days under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which upon conviction is punishable by the gallows.

Meanwhile, he said, customs, weighing 10.2 kilograms of drugs seized worth RM2.5 million at the KLIA on Jan 1 last and arrested two men and a man of European citizens Maroko people aged between 30 and 40s.

He said the three of them have used tactics that brought them to change the bag each other but with the efficiency of Customs officers, the drug was hidden to be found. - BERNAMA
